BareFoot MusicNews is an international organization; we  have team members near and far.  Unfortunately, none of our far folk could make it to NAMM with us. One member in particular, our regular Monday Morning Harpist Paul Bourgouis, would have loved this. I would have loved to see his face as we rounded this corner together.

It is one of those things that just happens to ya at NAMM. You are wandering around drooling on stuff and all of a sudden you begin to hear some magic… over there. You wander closer and round a bend and all of a sudden you are standing in front of a legend or two and Music happens. How cool is that?

On this turn we found Legendary blues harmonica player Kim Wilson, the lead singer and front man of the Fabulous Thunderbirds;  next to him was one of my all-time favorite bass players,  Larry Taylor of Canned Heat and John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers fame. They played  a killer set of classic blues for a great crowd of dedicated fans and it didn’t take long until they were joined by everyone else within earshot!

Click through for video, live from the NAMM convention floor.

Stay Tuned! We have tons of stuff from NAMM including another song or two from this legendary duo having fun and delighting the crowd from the Hohner booth. I just had to share this one with my friend Paul.
