It is only 9 days until the Beale Street Music Festival.

Billed as the Mardis Gras of the Mid-South, it offers over 60 acts on 4 stages in scenic Tom Lee Park, and what acts they are! Alice in Chains; Flaming Lips; Earth, Wind and Fire; Limp Bizkit; Goo Goo Dolls; Blues Travelercheck here for the complete line-up and schedule and click through for the rest of the story!

Unlike most concerts, you can come and go as you please after entering so that you can enjoy the music of the festival and the party that takes place in the birthplace of the blues along Beale Street without worrying about not being readmitted.

Performers in eating and drinking establishments up and down the great and gritty Beale Street put on wonderful performances, and the food itself is championship-quality Memphis BBQ. Jugglers, singers, acrobats and bead-throwers complete the scene; all that is missing is you! Before you head out, though, you may want to check out these handy “Tips” for the Festival-Goer.

One note: It was announced today that, due to Bret Michaels emergency appendectomy, he will no longer be performing at the festival. Vince Neil, lead singer for Motley Crue, is going to replace him.
