Beale Street Music Festival Weather Delay Update

05/01/10 16:47, by , Categories: Music News, Bands , Tags: alice in chains, barefoot festival, beale street music festival, jerry lee lewis

Bad weather has delayed the start of the Beale Street Music Festival, forcing the cancellation of the first act on each of the stages.

The cancelled shows are Alvin Youngblood Hart in the blues tent, Elmwood on Budweiser Stage, Balti on the Sam’s Town Stage, and Joan Red on the Cellular South Stage.

The following changes were announced to the times on Cellular South Stage: Yo Gotti 5:15, Puddle of Mudd 6:40, Seether 8:20, Alice in Chains 9:50; Changes to Sam’s Town Stage: Colbie Caillat 4:25, Jerry Lee Lewis 5:55, Michael McDonald 7:25, Hall & Oates 9:05; Budweiser Stage is the same!

As many as 2,000 people are being evacuated across Shelby County today and authorities are conducting several swift-water rescues in the wake of the worst flooding the Memphis area has seen in decades. The area will be battered by more severe weather today through Sunday morning as a cold front moves in.

Check for more upcoming events in the BareFoot Festival Line-Up.
