Irish punk band Stiff Little Fingers kicked off their tour at Concorde 2 in Brighton, England March 3rd 2010.

Surprisingly, the audience was a mix of all ages, from those who were around when SLF first formed in 1977 to the youngsters who had either grown up listening to their parents’ music or had discovered the band for themselves.

Treated to a good two-hour show of songs that spanned the years, the audience sang along to every number and moshed as much as they could. Some, not quite getting off the floor in their efforts to pogo as they once did many years ago, spilled beer and smiled a lot. It must have been the happiest mosh pit I’ve seen! A riotous, sweaty evening of old-school punk that took me back 30 years, made complete by having beer thrown over me, just like back in the old days!!

Stiff Little Fingers are touring through Europe until mid-April and will be appearing at the Ink-N-Iron Tattoo & Kustom Culture Festival on board the Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA on June 12, 2010.
