Liverpool Teens Love Taylor...But Which One?

Up-and-coming US teen act Taylor Bright was traveling across the UK promoting her new single this week at schools. An error was made in the a local Liverpool newspaper, however, announcing that another teen favorite, Grammy-winning Taylor Swift would be appearing at St. Margaret Mary’s Junior School in Liverpool.

That exciting revelation was announced to 44,000 football fans which, in turn, caused an uproar in response. Staff at the school were inundated with media requests and calls from children and parents wanting to know more. As a result, in the interest of safety, Taylor Bright’s appearance was cancelled.

Liverpool Football Club have been swift to respond to the mix-up, however, by saying that they will ‘debut’ Taylor Bright’s new single ‘Striped Socks’ to the sell-out crowd at the Merseyside Derby this weekend. Ms. Bright was sad not to perform, but could not help but be pleased at the response and thanked the media and especially Liverpool Football Club for setting the record straight. She said she is “overwhelmed” by the fact that the club is embracing her single and playing it to the packed house.

Or, to quote her Twitter post of 2:06 pm yesterday, “totally mixed up with taylor swift today..lol, she’s amazing and i’m just sorry i couldn’t perform for the kids at st margaret mary’s”

It is reported that, following all the excitement, Taylor Bright’s website collapsed for three hours, having been deluged by 175,000 hits.

Sometimes mistaken identity can be a Bright thing indeed!
