Drum roll, please, for an official announcement! Publisher Dan Grigor and the BareFootMusicNews team is delighted to welcome our newest contributor…

“Moon” Saunders
, professional music photographer hailing from London and owner of Moonshayde Photography, describes herself as a “vintage rock chick.” She journeys about the Southeast UK capturing definitive images of performers in action. Heavy Metal is her religion, capturing the essence of music is her passion. Moon is owned (but treated well) by 6 cats; she is addicted to tea and collecting live instants in time. She speaks both English & American, loves hugs and is happiest when she’s right in front of the speakers. WHAT? Oh, though she specializes in gig photos, she’s available for press and promo photos.

We are thrilled that Moon will be serving as a music photographer/reporter for BareFootMusicNews. Her images will be found in our BareFoot FotoBlog.

On a chilly night in southern England, the small venue at the back of The Talking Heads pub was packed with fans eager to see New York Dolls up close and personal.

A set by The Melodramas, a young English band who were picked by New York Dolls to support for the night, started the evening.

Proceedings kicked off with ‘Lookin For A Kiss’ and kept getting warmer throughout the set of David Johansen vocals on well-known numbers sprinkled with songs from the latest album ‘Cause I Sez So.

Sylvain Sylvain allowed the fans to help him play his guitar, Sami Yaffa (of Hanoi Rocks) kept his cool style on bass, Steve Conte out-thundered Johnny Thunders as Brian Delaney — and the whole band — seemed to have as much fun as the fans, leaving everyone sweaty after the final song ‘Personality Crisis.’

Look for more photos of Sylvain Sylvain and the rest of the Dolls in our BareFoot FotoBlog.
