Day One from GuilFest
by Moon
The 20th anniversary of GuilFest arrived sunny & warm with a diverse line-up of 150 bands – enough genres of music to keep just about everyone, young & old, happy.
Having found a space in the campsite (with free parking close by) it was time to go and find out what GuilFest was offering us today. The festival site was already filling up, the 150-foot-long bar, no surprise, was a busy place.

Saturday at Stoke Park, the 20th Anniversary of GuilFest
by Moon
Saturday arrived with rain as per usual at British festivals. Luckily there were plenty of stages inside marquees allowing people to shelter.
Thankfully the skies cleared long enough for Saint Jude to shine on the Good Time Stage - not surprisingly, the band has been nominated for a Classic Rock “Best New Band” award.

SOLD OUT! Europe in London at Shepherds Bush Empire
Review by Andy Rawll
Photos by Moonshayde
Standby for action…anything could happen in the next two hours. Troy Tempest’s rocker son and his band of Swedish rock’n'roll gypsies roll back into London for the fourth time in 12 months as part of their seemingly never-ending tour promoting their fine Last Look at Eden album. Europe’s third and strongest release since reuniting in 2003 after a 10-year hiatus is helping to propel their resurgent popularity to new levels.
With special thanks to Peter Noble, Moonshayde Photography presents a photo set from the sold-out Europe concert. Click Here! Don’t miss it!
Guitarist Gary Moore Dead at 58
It has been confirmed by Adam Parsons, manager of Thin Lizzy, that Gary Moore was found dead at the luxury Kempinski Resort Hotel in Estepona, Spain in the early hours of Sunday, February 6. He was 58.
Born April 4, 1952 in Belfast, Northern Ireland, (William) Gary Moore played some fine guitar.
During a cross-genre musical career that dates back to the 60s, he is perhaps best known for his work with Thin Lizzy, Skid Row and Colosseum II.

Bloodstock Open Air Festival, the Grand Finale
|
It was a chilly night and, yet again, we got very little sleep. This time it was thanks to other campers playing “Trash Bin Jousting” for several hours. Think medieval jousting (with no horses) using trash cans instead of lances, resulting in the loud, metallic thunk of trash cans followed by jubilant shouts of approval and you’ve got it. However, the day started off bright and sunny; ready for whatever next!! With thanks to Jarkko Aaltonen, barefoot bassist for Korpiklaani |
